National Account Manager

SAS for real time filtering of transactions 2. SAS for batch filtering of customer databases 3. SAS for real time Adhoc requests into a list 4. SAS List Service 5. Professional Services in which their team of product consultants provides added value services around the SAS products: Technical assistance for implementation of their SAS products; Tuning of the filtering engine to match compliance risk appetite; Enhancements to improve integration into core banking applications; Training for technical teams, competence transfer for maintenance of the application and training for compliance and operations; Best practices from list management to hit reduction; End user training; Development of customized reports; Help desk and 24*7 support.
The National Account Manager will focus on selling the SAS offerings to new account sales into the banking and regulated financial industry. The ideal candidate will be experienced in selling compliance and payment solutions to large financial institutions. Knowledge of software such as ACI from MTS, PAYplus from Fundtech, PEP+ from Fiserv, Prime Compliance Suite from Metavante, SAA from Swift is a plus. This individual will bring a large client portfolio, skills in building lead generation methods, finding the right clients and being able to close the deal in a reasonable time. This is not a role for a lone wolf, but someone who wants to be part of a hard-working team.
- Achieve/exceed annual sales targets - Identify and prospect for new business opportunities to generate sales to medium and large financial institutions through strategic & consultative selling techniques - Lead generation and qualification, and ownership and execution of the RFI/RFP process - Leverage existing relationships and develop and cultivate new relationships with key personnel at banks, financial institutions, and corporations. - Demonstrate and maintain a thorough understanding of payments industry, compliance and risk management - Work effectively with the pre-sales personnel who provide product and market expertise - Make outbound calls and work with the Marketing team to conduct targeted email and social media campaigns to generate new business - Develop account plans for specified accounts, including organizational maps, key contacts, existing business with the company, business objectives, sales opportunities, and plans for achieving sales where there are opportunities - Facilitate communication between clients and internal groups, such as Client Support and Product Management - Communicate industry information and competitive intelligence to Marketing to drive effective lead generation - Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the SAS product portfolio - Conduct presentations and leverage sales support for demonstrations of products for clients and prospects - Represent the company and products at trade shows and conferences - Maintain a robust pipeline with both near- and long-term opportunities, ensuring consistent revenue throughout the year - Record and update all client interactions and opportunities in the company’s CRM system - Submit mandatory reports in a timely and accurate fashion, including pipeline updates and travel expense
- Experience as a Senior Sales Executive - Experience in selling compliance / risk / payment solutions in the financial industry - Demonstrable sales and relationship skills - Strong consultative selling skills with a deep understanding of the technology - Strong team player and ability to act independently - Strong track record of sales success with excellent presentation and communication skills - Strong understanding of payment industry and compliance requirements - Strong customer account management focus - Motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills (written & verbal) - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office suite - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent - Data sales experience a plus - Experience with sales to corporations a plus
